Kristin now has boobs! And they look great.
It wasn't as bad as I thought. The thing she was most afraid of was the IV and Dr. Smith was his usual awesome self. He put her totally at ease and when she mentioned she was afraid of the IV needle moving he made sure it stayed in place with about 20 strips of tape. LOL. After he had he it, he slipped her some Versed and off they went to the OR. She didn't remember a thing.
Dr. Singh said everything went perfect and she doesn't even have sutures. Just dermabond and steristrips. She made sure they were even and gave me her cell to call with any concerns over the weekend. She is due to deliver her baby any day, so she may not be there on Wednesday for Kris's followup. She said any of her partners are great and just to follow the instructions that she gave us, which are super simple.
Kris is being a better trooper than I thought she could be! I am so proud of her. Ben is here to help take care of her thank you Ben!!
Now we just have to get thru the next couple of days.

- I have been married to the love of my life for 23 years. We have 4 children who are 23, 21, 18 and 17, and are expecting our first grandchild in November. I work in surgery part time at Phoenix Children's Hospital, and thankfully I like my job because of benefits I am stuck. Since working there I have been diagnosed with Scleroderma, so am uninsurable. God put me there for a reason! Scleroderma has defintely impacted my life in a huge way, but I am not going to let it take over my life. It has taught me to value every day and everyone so much more. I am truly a better person because of the disease.
