Hope you all had a wonderful day. Everyone was here and we hung out in the pool and bbq's burgers and dogs, my favorite fare! Kristin made red white and blue cupcakes for desert, even though she still isn't feeling well.
Kris has been REALLY sick since Friday, the very day our "romantic" anniversary weekend started. Don had got a casita at the Pointe for us, and Kris was SO sick that she spent the weekend with us. We spent Saturday afternoon at PCH in the ER. SHe had to get IV fluids, zofran, tylenol and motrin. It is Tues. and she still is sick. I feel so bad for her, she took the week off of work to have fun and she is stuck at home.
We watched fireworks on Sunday from our swimming pool. It was our anniversary and we were grateful that someone put on an awesome show just for us............LOL.
Tomorrow is phase 1 of the "Great Kitchen Remodel" of 2007! We are getting a dome lite in place of our dropped ceiling. You can see something similar at www.azdomes.com. It should look amazing. I really need to take before and after pics.
Cujo still hasn't found his voice, so at this point it is safe to say that his barker is broken. His whiner works, and he huffs when he is mad, but no bark. It is ok though since the other 2 dogs bark enough for all of them.
My mom is going to be 80 on the 19th and Kristin will be 19 the same day. We are going to Flemings to celebrate which will be really nice. I have NO idea what to get my mom. Any and all suggestions will be welcome. She is very active, does water aerobics 4 times a week and is in 3 or 4 bridge clubs. She goes to the movies and likes to read and watch movies, but I want something special.
She has a hard time fastening jewlrey, so for mothers day I got her a beautiful glass bead necklace with a lariat that you don't have to fasten and can slide up and down to make different lengths. She LOVED it, so I may try to find something similar, maybe a bracelet.
Don has to have some moles removed from his back. The doc took scrapings and sent it to the lab, and they came back "suspicious". So he has to have them removed. Prayers would be welcomed.
We are planning a long weekend in August to go up to the rim, rent a cabin and relax. We are bringing the ATV"s and are praying that everyone comes home in one piece this year.
Thats it for now.
